How we rate casinos

What we compare

ClearPoint compares a small number of online casinos that hold a licence from the UK Gambling Commission and accept players in Great Britain. We list four operators rather than dozens, so that each one can be looked at properly. We are an independent comparison website and not a gambling operator.

The factors we look at

  • Licence and safety: whether the operator is on the Gambling Commission's public register, and which safer gambling tools it offers, such as deposit limits, time-outs and GamStop self-exclusion.
  • Welcome offer terms: the size of the offer, wagering requirements, time limits, game restrictions and maximum winnings, as published by the operator.
  • Games: the range of slots, table games and live dealer games, and the studios that supply them.
  • Payments and withdrawals: accepted methods for British players, minimum deposits and the withdrawal options and times the operator publishes.
  • Support and usability: how easy it is to find help, limits and account settings on desktop and mobile.

How scores are given

Scores out of 10 are our own editorial judgement after weighing the factors above. They are not produced by a published formula, and they are not the result of customer surveys. Two readers may weigh the same factors differently, so use the scores as a starting point and read each operator's terms before you choose.

Where our information comes from

We rely on information published by the operators on their own websites and on public sources such as the Gambling Commission register. Offer lines on the home page show the date they were last reviewed. Operators change their offers often, sometimes without notice, so the operator's own page is always the authority on current terms.

How we are paid
